On October 21, 2009, the Higdon family suffered a heartbreaking loss - the passing of Detective Thomas W. Higdon, Jr. at the age of 38. Turning tragedy into hope, the family decided to commemorate Tommy's life by establishing a scholarship fund in his name to benefit students at St. Clare's School in Rosedale. To celebrate Tommy's life and help raise funds for the scholarships, the Higdon family will host an Inaugural Dinner Dance; Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly will be the Keynote Speaker.
