Night Out at the Museum

Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio and the Alive in Hope Foundation hosted hosted a reception on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Museum of the City of New York in conjunction with its special exhibit, Catholics in New York, 1808-1946.

Bishop DiMarzio thanked those in attendance for their support of Catholic schools and diocesan ministries.

Patrick McNamara, assistant diocesan archivist, spoke about the diverse ethnic backgrounds of Catholics in New York and said the exhibit was an excellent display of the unity of faith despite those differences.

Thomas Flood, Executive Director of the Alive in Hope Foundation, said that the museum has played host through the exhibit to several diocesan audiences. Teachers and principals attended workshops there. Last weekend, St. John’s University held a jubilee celebration for its School of Education.
