Alive in Hope Foundation Partners with Allstate

to Prevent Domestic Violence

(L to R: Craig Katinas, Director of Philanthropic Giving; Thomas Flood, Executive Director; Sofia Pallotta-Napolitano of Brooklyn Women's Services; Marion Boteju, Director of Operations and Programs; Dr. Nicoletta Pallotta, Director of Brooklyn Women's Services; Kevin Spann, Bob Russo, and Steven Schneider, Allstate agents; and Monsignor Ronald Marino, pastor of Regina-Pacis, Bensonhurst)

In January, the Allstate Foundation presented the Alive in Hope Foundation with a check for $65,000 in support of a Domestic Violence Program.

Through Allstate’s support, the Alive in Hope Foundation is partnering with the Vicariate for Migrant and Ethnic Affairs and Brooklyn Women’s Services to fund medical, mental, and social services for female victims of domestic violence regardless of race or creed. Funding will focus on giving women the tools and training necessary for economic empowerment.

The first in a series of workshops designed to educate and train advocates and Allstate volunteers on how to recognize the signs of domestic abuse will be held on March 26th. Following workshops will provide survivors with the financial information and tools to establish and plan for their future and that of their families.

We thank the Allstate Foundation for supporting our mission to meet the needs of the people of our Diocese through this important program.
