Private Screening of The Human Experience

In 2007 the Foundation awarded Grassroots Films a grant of $40,000 from the Bishop Loughlin Fund for Evangelization to support the creation of The Human Experience - the story of a band of brothers who travel the world in search of the answers to the burning questions: Who am I? Who is Man? Why do we search for meaning? Their journey brings them into the middle of the lives of the homeless on the streets of New York City, the orphans and disabled children of Peru, and the abandoned lepers in the forests of Ghana, Africa. What the young men discover changes them forever. Through one-on-one interviews and real life encounters, the brothers are awakened to the beauty of the human person and the resilience of the human spirit. The film was released in 2009.

On November 4th, 2009 The Foundation hosted a private screening of the film. Donors to the Alive in Hope Foundation and the Bishop's Court of Honore wre invited to attend a private screening at Stage 6, Steiner Studios in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.  Close to 100 people attended and the response was overwhelmingly positive.  Pictures from the Screening are available by visiting the Foundation's website www.aliveinhope.org.
