2010 GRANTS
The Alive in Hope Foundation will award grants for the current 2010 awards cycle. While 2009 proved to be a challenging year on many fronts, especially considering the financial downturn on Wall Street, the Alive in Hope Foundation will grant up to $4 million. We look forward to continue the good works of the Alive in Hope Foundation to serve our mission and ministries of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
New Endowment
Ever consider giving a stock gift to charity? The Alive in Hope Foundation is pleased to announce that a new endowment was created through this unique type of giving vehicle which can save you, the donor, thousands in a tax liability while contributing to the non-profit closest to your heart and intentions.
The Daniel Fitzpatrick, Catherine Fitzpatrick Donelan and Rev. Dan Nelson Scholarship Fund, is a new endowment funded by a gift of stock that will provide need-based scholarships to students at three schools in the Diocese of Brooklyn. This new endowed fund will help students attending Cathedral Prep Seminary in Elmhurst, NY, The Mary Louis Academy in Jamaica, NY, and The Ave Maria Catholic Academy in Howard Beach, NY.
If you are still sitting on appreciated stock and admiring what a great investment you made yesterday, then consider what a smart decision today can yield for future generations in Brooklyn and Queens.
