THINK YOU NEED A FORTUNE TO BE A
PHILANTHROPIST? THINK AGAIN
THE ALIVE IN HOPE FOUNDATION (AIHF)
OFFERS MANY WAYS TO HELP PEOPLE meet their
philanthropic and financial goals – and you don’t
need a fortune to invest to experience the joys and
personal growth philanthropy brings.
You can establish your own fund or create a fund
in memory or honor of a special individual with as
little as $10,000. If you wish, you may further
grow this fund by contributing at a subsequent time.
Philanthropists also have the option of making a
contribution to an existing fund at any time. AIHF
funds are attractive alternatives to private
foundations, and require no paperwork, legal fees,
or other startup costs on your part. You derive
immediate tax benefits, and you advise the
Foundation’s Board of Trustees as to which
charitable organizations, within the Diocese of
Brooklyn community (parish, parochial school or a
ministry that you have an affinity for,) will be the
beneficiaries of your charitable gift. The
stewardship of this fund may be passed down to
subsequent generations, instilling the joys of
philanthropy in your family.
Funds can be established through outright gifts or a
plethora of planned-giving options, including
charitable gift annuities. Charitable gift annuities
guarantee the annuitant (or annuitants) a lifetime
income at attractive rates of return with certain
tax advantages. Upon the death of all annuitants,
the remainder may be added to an existing fund, used
to create your own fund, or it can go to the AIHF
outright. The choice is yours.
Make the decision to leave a legacy of philanthropy
to the future generations of your family and to your
Catholic community. Contact Thomas Flood today to
see how we can help you become a philanthropist.
